On April 23th, Danieli Automation DIGI&MET Team has been involved in the DIGITAL INDUSTRIAL INNOVATION MANAGER (DIIM) masterclass organized by IP4FVG in collaboration with Area Science Park, Consorzio Friuli Formazione (CFF) and Unindustria Servizi & Formazione Treviso Pordenone (UNIS&F).
This advanced course trains business leaders with technological, managerial and transversal skills in order to form managers capable to develop coherent and comprehensive digital transformation processes within their organizations in today’s market scenario.
The first part of the event started with the introduction of DIGI&MET strategy to leverage the concept of sustainability as an opportunity for the plants to innovate their process thanks to the digitalization. Then, an overview of the company approach towards the digitalization has been presented, with a deep focus on its actual product and service portfolio.
As the lecture part ended, the event proceeded with the virtual tour where the participants had the opportunity to visit some specific areas, such as Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), Remote Assistance and Power Systems Testing. Moreover, a brief demonstration of the I-Stand, a kinematic simulator for virtual training, was provided.
Then, there was time to tell the experience of how the digitalization improved the daily work within the company. The first intervention was held in the Planning & Control Dept. to highlight the benefits of PLM implementation to manage the whole product lifecycle. The second took place in the Hardware Engineering Dept. to focus on the cybersecurity as a precondition to protect IT and OT networks.
Finally, Danieli Automation DIGI&MET has remarked its commitment to encourage and support the launch of digitalization projects within the manufacturing companies of Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
