CyberChallenge.IT 2021


John Toniutti, Matteo Cavallaro and Gianluca Macrì are the winners of the local competition of the fifth edition of the national project CyberChallenge.IT, a contest created to discover and enhance “cyber” talent among young people between 16 and 23 years old. This year the challenge involved 30 universities and 20 students, selected from over 180 applicants, have been involved at the local level and followed a training course from March to May, culminating in the final competition. This project is organized by the CyberSecurity Laboratory of the National Interuniversity Consortium for Information Technology, which counts also the University of Udine as a member with its Department of Mathematical, Informatics and Physical Sciences.

Danieli Automation – DIGI&MET, as a sponsor of the event, is always involved in this kind of challenging competitions which represent an investment for future of the entire business environment in the territory. In fact, they constantly strengthen the training of new talents in the field of emerging technologies, providing a high educational value. The result of this strategic partnership with the University of Udine is also reflected in the DIGI&MET Laboratory at the UniUD Lab Village.

The award ceremony took place at Palazzo Antonini at the presence of Roberto Pinton, Rector of the University of Udine, Gian Luca Foresti, Department Director, and Marino Miculan, project coordinator.
